Present Technology Processes

SilexSolar's first generation cells and panels are currently produced using optimised manufacturing of mono-crystalline technology as outlined in our manufacturing process. The result is that SilexSolar currently produces average cell conversion efficiencies of 17%. This is in the 1st quartile of performance for the majority of large-scale and low cost commercial crystalline silicon wafer product.

SilexSolar Product

SilexSolar manufactures high performance solar cells and panels on commercial scale at low cost. The key to achieving this is through SilexSolar’s staged optimisation processes in manufacturing, producing maximum cell and panel output power,  while rigorously maintaining the highest possible production yields.

Mono-crystalline?

SilexSolar presently uses only mono-crystalline silicon in its production of cells and panels. SilexSolar believes it can most quickly attain its targets for higher power efficiency at low cost by adapting its advanced process techniques more easily and effectively to the mono-crystalline form of silicon, as opposed to its multicrystalline form.
